ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for an Operations Specialist - Tax, to join us in our Belfast Office as part of the Apex Silver Tax and Wealth Management Team. Silver Management is a leading provider of business and technology solutions for the investment services industry. Our employees apply decades of securities industry and software development experience along with a passion for solving real-world problems. Our strategic partners provide complementary services, software, and market data to enhance our solutions. The Silver team delivers cost-effective brokerage operations, cost basis reporting and wealth management solutions for our clients.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of cost basis processing and tax reporting data
- Research and resolve investment account reconciliation breaks
- Research and resolve investment account processing exceptions
- Analyse and communicate processing results and trends
- Recommend and help implement process improvements and software usability enhancements
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (or equivalent practical experience) required
- 3+ years of prior work experience in a similar role
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with US tax reporting /1042s advantageous
- Experience with SQL and/or advanced Excel skills advantageous
- Self motivated and able to work independently (certifications will be required within job role)
- Obtain a passing score on the Securities Industry Essentials® (SIE®) Exam within your first 90 days and FINRA Series 99 within the year.
Work Environment
This job operates in a hybrid office environment 2 days per week.
