We are launching a professional winter GT championship featuring multi-class GT racing.
We seek a seasoned Head of PR, Marketing and Media to build and deliver the championship’s media, content, communications and branding strategy. This is a hands‑on, operational leadership role requiring proven motorsport experience, strong marketing/content knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate under the unique constraints of a winter season.
Core responsibilities
- Media strategy & delivery
- Develop and execute a unified media and content strategy (broadcast, streaming, highlights, social, photography, PR) aligned with commercial objectives and partner commitments.
- Lead production briefs for live broadcasts and highlight packages; coordinate on‑track camera plans, timing overlays, graphics, commentary and data feeds.
- Manage relationships with broadcast/streaming partners, production vendors and rights holders; negotiate deliverables and ensure contractual compliance.
- Oversee editorial calendar, creative assets, photography libraries and closed-captioning/multilingual content needs.
- Oversea social media platforms and strategy. Working closely with social media agency.
- Coordinate media accreditation, media centre operations, mixed zones, press conferences and post-race interview schedules.
- Deliver team-facing media training, interview protocols and pre/post-race media schedules to ensure consistent messaging.
- Marketing
- Develop a marketing plan in order to target teams, participants and differentiate the brand from any other championships or series.
- Manage digital campaigns and strategies to attract competitors to join the events
- Align with influential pages, networks and personal to promote the series.
- PR, communications & reputation management
- Oversee the production of all official press releases, race reports, feature stories and crisis communications; maintain a consistent brand voice.
- Establish and run a rapid-response protocol for on-track incidents, penalties, or reputational issues (oversea the statement drafting, approval workflow, etc).
- Cultivate relationships with motorsport press, influencers, and key industry journalists to secure coverage and features.
- Commercial & partner activation
- Work with commercial team to activate sponsor content, hospitality deliverables, branded content, and partner media rights.
- Produce media kits, activation plans and measurement reports demonstrating reach and engagement for sponsors.
- Team leadership & event execution
- Recruit, lead and coordinate the media & communications team and external agencies (producers, photographers, PR agencies).
- Own media staffing plans for each event (media centre, press operations, photographers, content producers) and ensure smooth on-site execution in winter conditions (equipment sheltering, power, heated spaces).
- Deliver post-event analytics and insights
Ideal candidate profile (experience & credentials)
- Minimum 7–10 years’ of relevant experience within a media and marketing management field, ideally in motorsport.
- Possesses deep knowledge of market research, digital marketing, content strategy, and brand management, alongside a strong understanding of local and international regulations related to marketing and event planning.
- Fluent English
- A passion for motorsport and knowledge of the motorsport industry.
- Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams, including operations and sales teams.
