We are currently seeking experienced PTS Electricians with specialist knowledge of trackside power systems for 4‑6 months working at Huddersfield and Bradford train stations. The role involves the installation, maintenance, fault finding, testing, and repair of trackside electrical infrastructure — including signalling power supplies, functional supply points (FSPs), battery systems, cabling, terminations, and associated equipment.
Key responsibilities:
- Safe execution of electrical works on or near the line in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols
- Fault diagnosis, remedial repairs, and planned maintenance
- Inspection, testing (including Megger/cable testing), and commissioning activities
- Crimping, terminating, and installing SWA/containment where required
- Compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification
- JIB Gold Card (or equivalent) and up-to-date 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- 2391 (or similar) Inspection & Testing certification highly desirable
- Strong rail electrical background with trackside experience
