Looking to recruit a compassionate and dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant to support a pre-verbal reception age child with their communication, social interaction and emotional needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the child's school experience, learning and development. Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm (term time only).
1-1 Teaching Assistant Role:
- To provide personalised support for the pre-verbal student, helping them engage with the curriculum and classroom routines.
- Able to use visual aids, communication boards and other strategies ie PECS / Makaton to promote understanding and interaction.
- Support the child in developing social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to implement individual learning plans.
- Happy to assist with personal care if needed.
