Recruiting for a Strong Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 student 1-1 with ADHD and showing signs of Challenging Behaviour at Romford Primary School.
Ideally, somebody Team Teach trained with a firm but fair approach and able to set routines and boundaries to support the student with their learning. To start after the Easter break, Monday to Friday (term time only).
Special Needs Teaching Assistant Role:
- Experience and knowledge working with ADHD, Challenging Behaviour, Social Emotional & Mental Health needs.
- A drive and energy for working with SEN and developing the skills to facilitate this.
- Managing the student's behaviour and employing de-escalation skills when required.
- Able to identify & manage triggers and traits.
- To work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning for the student.
- Team Teach trained would ideally be essential.
- L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, Care, SEND or Psychology qualification.
