Recruiting for a suitably qualified Mainstream Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to support KS1 children within the classroom and offering extra support to children struggling with the school day and their learning.

This outstanding primary school is based in the Romford area with excellent transport links and parking onsite.

To start September2026, Monday‑Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time only.

Mainstream Teaching Assistant Role & Qualification

  • Work alongside the class teacher with all aspects of the children's learning and motivate them to achieve within the classroom.
  • Be calm, controlled, with effective communication and relate well to all students and adults within the school.
  • Have experience and knowledge supporting children with Autism.
  • Be a positive, proactive, and patient individual with a can‑do attitude.
  • Be able to work one‑to‑one, in a team and in a group setting.
  • Hold Level2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND, Care or Psychology qualification.
