Midday Assistant – Hornchurch School – September 2025
Recruiting for a Midday Assistant to support children in the early years setting with additional needs during their lunchtime break. For the Midday Assistant role you will be required to work as part of a team in providing a safe and happy lunchtime for the children.
This Midday Assistant role would be perfect for someone with SEN knowledge wanting to gain further experience within a school setting.
Monday – Friday, 2 hrs a day (Term time only with additional holiday pay)
Midday Assistant Role:
- Supervise the children to ensure a safe and happy lunchtime break.
- Supervising the students whilst eating at meal times, being mindful of the students dietary requirements and ensure they are adhered to accordingly.
- Monitor the behaviour of the children, discouraging any negative behaviour in a positive way and ensuring any incidents are reported as appropriate.
- Happy to assist with personal care as and when needed.
- Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
