Science Technician
Location: Wembley
Start Date: ASAP, September 2026
Contract: Temp to Perm
Pay: Β£130βΒ£165 per day, depending on experience
Apex Educ8 is working with a secondary school in Wembley who are looking for a Science Technician to join their team and support the smooth running of the science department.
This is a great opportunity for someone with practical science experience who enjoys working behind the scenes to help teachers deliver engaging, safe and well-prepared lessons.
Responsibilities
- Preparing equipment, materials and practical resources for science lessons
- Supporting teachers with practical demonstrations and experiments
- Maintaining and organising science laboratories, equipment and resources
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Managing stock levels and ordering or replenishing supplies when required
- Cleaning, checking and maintaining equipment
- Supporting the wider science department with day-to-day practical requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a science laboratory, school or similar environment
- Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and health and safety procedures
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- A practical, reliable and proactive approach
- Relevant science qualifications or experience would be advantageous
