Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning to our students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Planning: Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects in line with the National Curriculum. Create detailed lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students. Differentiate teaching approaches to support students with varying abilities and learning styles. Develop and implement strategies to enhance students' academic progress and personal development.
  • Assessment & Monitoring: Monitor and assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments. Provide constructive feedback to students, ensuring they understand their strengths and areas for improvement. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' achievements and development. Adapt teaching plans and methods based on assessment results to ensure all students make progress.
  • Classroom Management & Environment: Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn. Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a productive and orderly learning environment. Foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and teamwork within the classroom and school community.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work collaboratively with other teachers, teaching assistants, and staff members to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum. Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed about their child's progress and well-being. Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.
  • Pastoral Care: Support the emotional and social development of students, providing guidance and encouragement where needed. Be a positive role model for students, promoting good behaviour, respect, and responsibility. Address any concerns related to student welfare and communicate effectively with parents and senior leadership when necessary.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and primary education.
  • Experience teaching primary-aged children, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to teaching.
