Salary: From £30,000 pro rata, depending on experience

Apex Educ8 is working with a school in Brent to recruit an experienced and organised HR Officer to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is a school-based role supporting the day-to-day HR function, with responsibility for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and ensuring HR processes are managed efficiently and in line with relevant policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Support recruitment, onboarding and pre-employment processes
- Coordinate references, DBS checks and other compliance requirements
- Assist with contracts, letters and changes to employee records
- Support absence, attendance and leave administration
- Provide administrative support on routine HR matters
- Maintain HR systems and ensure information is accurate and up to date
- Support the implementation and review of HR policies and procedures
- Prepare HR reports and information when required
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
- Work closely with the wider school leadership and administration teams
Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR Officer or similar HR role
- Experience working within a school or education setting is desirable
- Strong understanding of HR administration and employment processes
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail xgikmsk
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
- Good IT and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
