Role Overview
On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey which will give you the knowledge and skills to be able to carry out your day to day tasks.
In this role you will
- Meet and greet all guests that you come into contact with in a professional and courteous manner.
Being an ambassador for the Yu Spa and setting the Spa ambience with the right first impression.
Engage with our members & learn their names & faces so that you can personalise their experience.
- Ensure the reception area, gym, pool and changing areas are kept clean and well maintained, matching company standards always with regards to cleanliness, hygiene and security.
Ensure that due diligence checks including pool monitoring are carried out in line with standard operating procedure.
- Carry out pool tests and perform operational duties in plant room as trained to ensure that all due diligence is properly carried out, and that all measures are within the accepted range.
Where not you must report to the manager.
- Manage all towelling as per the needs of the department, collect, count, restock & remove all clean & dirty linen.
- Be willing to be trained in Pool Responder training, first aid & life guard training should the role require it.
- Ensure all areas of the spa are presentable and portrayed in the best possible way at all times, creating the relaxing and tranquil atmosphere for our guests.
Low level lighting, music & aromatherapy.
- Carry out cleaning tasks in all areas as per checklist, and on a clean as you go basis where areas are not to standard, including but not limited to poolside area, back of house, changing rooms, gym, treatment rooms and entrance to spa.
This includes both male & female space.
- Complete daily checks for maintenance reporting including gym equipment, lighting, furnishing, or structure is not to Yu Spa standard.
- Be safe, work in a safe way, complying with all Fire, Hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
- Complete opening and closing procedures within the spa reception area as per the daily checklist, and in line with the expected standard.
Be a team player, support with the desk at key times.
About You
As a Spa Attendant, you will have excellent attention to detail in order to provide consistent standards.
This is a vital role in the function of the Hotel and ultimately the service provided to our guests before, during and after their stay.
You will love chatting to our guests offering help and assistance, you will be a great at multi-tasker, you will be efficient at solving guest enquiries and you will always have a smile for our teams and guests.
We want you to be yourself here, bringing your infectious personality which helps makes Apex who we are.
With this in mind, we are looking for a Spa Attendant who
- Understands this is a physical and dynamic role and as such requires a lot of moving around the department, assisting, supporting & creating great memories for our guests.
- Ideally has 6 months experience of working in a customer facing role or similar
