We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Lead Nurse (RGN) to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The successful candidate will support the Home Manager in overseeing the clinical aspects of care delivery, lead the nursing team, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
About the Role:
- Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to nursing and care staff.
- Lead the clinical team in delivering outstanding nursing care to residents.
- Act as a role model and mentor to nursing and care staff, ensuring clinical best practice is maintained at all times.
- Carry out regular audits, care reviews, risk assessments, and contribute to the continuous improvement of care standards.
- Ensure all care plans are person-centred, accurate, and regularly reviewed in line with residents' needs.
- Take the lead in clinical assessments and admissions of new residents.
- Manage medication administration and ensure safe and effective drug storage and handling.
- Support and supervise staff in their professional development through training, appraisals, and performance management.
- Liaise with GPs, families, external healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
- Act as a safeguarding lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
- Deputise for the Home Manager as needed.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC pin.
- Proven experience in a senior nursing or supervisory role.
- Strong clinical skills and sound knowledge of nursing care procedures and practices.
- Experience in care planning, medication management, and compliance.
- Good understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations.
