Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a growing FMCG manufacturer investing heavily in both its people and production facilities? We’re recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing business in Chichester. Due to continued growth and increased production demand, the engineering team is expanding from two engineers to three per shift, creating an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

Working a Panama shift pattern covering days and nights, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of automated production and packaging equipment. You’ll provide both reactive and planned maintenance support, helping to maximise uptime and ensure production targets are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Responding to breakdowns and minimising downtime
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • Continuous improvement activities
  • Supporting production teams to maximise efficiency
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to engineering standards

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Previous experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or automated production environments
  • Strong electrical fault-finding ability using a multimeter
  • Mechanical maintenance experience
  • Experience with motors, drives, sensors, conveyors and production machinery
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
