We are recruiting for an established manufacturer with a highly automated production facility in the Burnley area. Youll join an experienced engineering team responsible for maintaining and improving a varied range of modern production machinery.
This is a permanent role offering approximately £44,000, with additional overtime paid at time and a half.
The role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will:
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical breakdowns
- Complete planned and preventative maintenance
- Fault-find PLC-controlled production machinery
- Maintain motors, drives, sensors, conveyors and control systems
- Work with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
- Read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Support equipment installations and improvements
- Help reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
What were looking for
You should have:
- A Level 3 electrical or electrical/electronic engineering qualification
- Alternatively, a completed engineering apprenticeship with strong electrical experience
- Maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding ability
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery
- A practical and proactive approach to solving problems
Experience within an automated manufacturing environment would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from engineers across a range of manufacturing sectors.
Package and hours
- Approximately £44,000 including shift allowance
- Rotating days and afternoons
- No night shifts
- 35-hour standard working week
- Early finish on Fridays
- Overtime available at time and a half
