We are recruiting for an established materials-handling business looking to add another engineer across the Milton Keynes / Sandy area. This could suit someone already working with forklifts, but we are equally interested in engineers from plant, agricultural machinery, powered access, HGV or similar mobile equipment backgrounds who have strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
The Role
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment across customer sites within your territory.
- Planned servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Reactive breakdowns and fault diagnosis.
- Mechanical and hydraulic repairs.
- Electrical fault-finding.
- Diagnosing and repairing engines and associated systems.
- Completing service documentation.
- Managing your own workload across customer sites.
- Providing a professional, customer-focused service.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within one or more of the following would be particularly relevant:
- Forklifts / materials handling.
- Mobile plant.
- Agricultural machinery.
- Powered access.
- HGVs.
- Construction equipment.
- Similar mechanical field-service environments.
You should be comfortable fault-finding independently and have good practical knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems. Previous forklift experience would be advantageous but is not essential where you have transferable mobile engineering experience.
Package
- £30-38k + Overtime.
- Monday to Friday Daytime working hours.
