Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a business investing heavily in its engineering function? We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to support a highly automated operation, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns and continuous improvement activities across a wide range of automated equipment.
The Role
Reporting into the Engineering Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across a busy automated operation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
- Reactive electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Diagnosing faults using electrical drawings and test equipment
- Working on motors, drives, sensors and control systems
- PLC fault finding and basic interrogation
- Supporting continuous improvement projects
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Working safely in line with company procedures and engineering standards
Following an initial training period on days (approximately 4-8 weeks), you'll move onto a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
About You
We're keen to speak with electrically or mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers from manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, automation, warehousing or industrial environments. You'll ideally have experience with:
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Planned and reactive maintenance
- Conveyors and automated machinery
- Three-phase motors and drives
- Inverters and sensors
- Pneumatics and hydraulics
- PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar advantageous)
- Reading electrical and mechanical drawings
Qualifications
Ideally you'll hold one of the following:
- NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance
- City & Guilds Time-served Apprenticeship
- HNC/HND (desirable)
Equivalent electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications will also be considered.
