An established manufacturing business is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the appointment of a Maintenance Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to join a fast-paced production environment where reliability, continuous improvement and engineering excellence are at the heart of the operation.
Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you'll be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across site.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repair.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance activities to a high standard.
- Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Use structured problem-solving techniques to identify and eliminate root causes of failures.
- Work on a variety of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.
- Support maintenance improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Apprentice trained or equivalent practical engineering background.
- Minimum 5 years maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding ability.
- Working knowledge of: AC & DC Motors, Variable Speed Drives, Control Systems, Electrical Installations, Pneumatics.
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
- Reliability engineering experience.
- Continuous improvement methodologies and root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting engineering projects and equipment upgrades.
- £46,417 Basic Salary
