An established manufacturing business is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the appointment of a Maintenance Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to join a fast-paced production environment where reliability, continuous improvement and engineering excellence are at the heart of the operation.

Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you'll be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance activities to a high standard.
  • Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Use structured problem-solving techniques to identify and eliminate root causes of failures.
  • Work on a variety of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.
  • Support maintenance improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
  • Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation.
What We're Looking For
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • Apprentice trained or equivalent practical engineering background.
  • Minimum 5 years maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding ability.
  • Working knowledge of: AC & DC Motors, Variable Speed Drives, Control Systems, Electrical Installations, Pneumatics.
  • Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and team-working skills.
Desirable Experience
  • Reliability engineering experience.
  • Continuous improvement methodologies and root cause analysis.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects and equipment upgrades.
