Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £45,500
Shift Pattern: Rotating Earlies & Afternoons
We're recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business, working across a busy packaging environment.
This is a great opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who enjoys fault finding, keeping machinery running and getting involved with a mix of planned and reactive maintenance.
The Role
You'll be responsible for maintaining and fault finding across a range of packaging and production machinery.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
Working with sensors, relays, switches and electrical controls
Maintenance of packaging and production machinery
Planned preventative maintenance
Reactive breakdown maintenance
Identifying recurring faults and helping improve machine reliability
Carrying out basic mechanical repairs where required
Working closely with production to minimise downtime
What We're Looking For Ideally you'll have:
Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or a similar environment
Strong electrical fault-finding skills
Experience working with sensors, relays, switches and control systems
Experience maintaining automated or packaging machinery
A recognised electrical or engineering qualification
The ability to carry out basic mechanical maintenance
Shift Pattern The role operates on a rotating shift pattern:
Weeks 1 & 2:
Monday–Friday
6:00am–2:00pm
Weeks 3 & 4:
Monday–Thursday
2:00pm–12:00am
This means you'll also benefit from a four-day working week every other rotation .
Package
£45,500 salary
Rotating early and afternoon shifts
No permanent nights
Four-day working week on the afternoon rotation
