Overview
The Low Risk Kitchen department is keen to promote excellent teamwork by employing people who have a positive can‑do attitude. By achieving this, the department is in the best position to supply the meals department in an efficient manner. We aim to not only achieve our targets but improve on them as well. You will be selecting materials from the freezer and preparing them for production.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating CQC machinery
- Monitoring and checking temperatures
- Ensuring products are cooked according to required standards
- Weighing products to ensure they meet the correct specifications
- Maintaining cleanliness by using appropriate chemicals in line with hygiene and safety procedures
- Supporting other departments as part of the wider manufacturing team when required
40 hours per week, working Sun‑Thu Nights 22.00 – 06.00

Responsibilities
- Supply low risk kitchen department with right materials at the right time
- Scan products into the right area to ensure traceability is present and POs have the right input of materials
- Control leftover stock and apply First in, First out (F.I.F.O) methodology
- Operate CQC machinery
- Monitor and check temperatures
- Maintain cleanliness
- Complete paperwork 100% fully, accurately and legibly – this is a legal requirement
- Work in other areas as required
- Help the business be environmentally friendly by keeping waste to a minimum (e.g. making products right first time)
About you
- Good level of English - written and spoken
- Good level of Maths
- Positive attitude; will have to learn other tasks in the Prep Department if required
- Promote good teamwork
- Show desire to help the team meet the department targets
- Undertake any training needed
- Experience working in manufacturing will be of benefit
- Experience in SAP and scanning will be of benefit
This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the skilled worker route as it does not meet the minimum requirements set out under the UK Immigration Rules.
