We're looking for a Recruitment Officer to join our friendly in-house team. Recruitment Officers support the delivery of a smooth, efficient end-to-end recruitment process, managing ~40 vacancies at a time. From posting adverts and screening candidates to coordinating interviews, making offers and organising onboarding, you’ll handle the details accurately and professionally. You’ll ensure the business is compliant and holds accurate records. Working closely with hiring managers and candidates to help select the best people for each job, providing clear communication and timely updates to managers and candidates. This is a fast-paced role that suits someone who is customer service focussed, highly organised, detail-oriented and able to meet multiple deadlines. As part of a supportive HR team, you’ll play a key role in delivering a seamless recruitment service, while developing your skills and experience in a business that makes a real difference. Our team are based at our Trowbridge head-office at least 3 days a week, with the option to work from home up to 2 days per week- once fully trained and able to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Run effective end-to-end recruitment processes
- Coordinate candidate pools, ensuring communication of next steps and outcomes to all candidates
- Give excellent customer service to candidates, hiring managers and other internal customers
- Advise hiring managers on recruitment process and support them to deliver best practice
- Telephone pre-screening candidates
- Organise interviews and assessment days
- Plan inductions for successful candidates
- Investigate and promote cost effective advertising options and social media posting
- Produce accurate formal HR documents
- Maintain accurate and up to date records on HR systems
- Ensure compliance with apetito standards and legal requirements
- Represent apetito at careers fairs and events
- Provide timely data for Recruitment reports
- Take part in relief rota for reception
- Support the wider HR team
Qualifications/Personal Qualities
- Essential: Passion for customer service
- Administration experience
- Confident communicator – especially on the phone
- Experience organising a complex workload including multiple 'cases'
- Able to prioritise and meet multiple deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and care to produce work of a high quality
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- A team player with experience working in a team towards shared goals
- Competent using Microsoft Office applications and databases
- Desirable: Experience working in recruitment (in-house or agency)
- Confident using recruitment software and systems
- Working knowledge of right to work checks
- Understanding of employment law and recruitment best practice
