The main purpose of the Team Leader is to lead, direct and support the team of engineers, to ensure the production departments run to their maximum efficiency. The successful candidate should have experience in an engineering discipline and knowledge of planned maintenance scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, direct and support the team of engineers, to ensure the production departments run to their maximum efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to rules, procedures & standards in regards to managing your team.
- Identify & facilitate ways for team members to develop.
- Deliver team briefings & clearly communicate performance.
- Ensure clear lines of communication.
- Ensure all documents are completed (as appropriate to the area) and due diligence/traceability documentation is fully completed.
- Ensure departmental hygiene standards are in-line with external and internal audits and requirements.
- Adhere to company colour coding: i.e. clothing and equipment policies.
- Continuous improvement of technical and hygiene standards.
- Ensure compliance with business H&S policies & ensure accurate H&S records.
- Actively participate in departmental risk assessments to eliminate accidents, ensure all accidents are reported & investigated thoroughly & create a safety awareness culture.
- Help the business be environmentally friendly by keeping waste to a minimum, ensuring waste is segregated appropriately and seeking ways to reduce the companies’ carbon footprint.
- To actively drive reductions in customer complaints performance by focusing on achieving it right first time.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Proven experience in an engineering role, Engineering qualification, Working knowledge of planned maintenance scheduling, Clear communication skills, Confidence using a computer and common software.
- Desirable: Level 3 Food Safety, IOSH (Managing Safety/ Behavioural Safety), Knowledge of apetito policies and procedures.
