The predicted salary is between 28000 - 42000 £ per year.

This role is working 40 hours per week, working 5 in 6. We are looking to recruit a Driver Supervisor to be the first point of contact for the driving team and to work with the Retail Operations Manager to help restructure the rounds from a fortnightly to a weekly structure.

As a Driver Supervisor you’ll be responsible for the supervision of the Wiltshire Farm Foods delivery team. You will also be responsible for ensuring our fleet of vans remain on the road and well maintained. The efficiency of the rounds will also be your responsibility, ensuring that the round sequencing is well maintained, and help to plan new rounds as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the depot’s fleet of vehicles is operating at the highest efficiency and well maintained.
  • Ensure that accurate stock levels are maintained and stored appropriately.
  • Responsible for first line supervision of delivery drivers.
  • Ensure that round sequencing is up to date and well maintained.
  • Help to transition from a fortnightly to weekly round structure.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all meals are delivered and accounted for in line with Company Delivery Procedures.
  • Promote best practice health and safety ensuring all procedures are followed and staff are trained.
  • Ensure that all company procedures are followed in completion of duties.
  • Health and safety and ensuring all rounds are sufficiently resourced and on occasion completing deliveries personally.

About you:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in supervising a team successfully.
  • Have had to complete paperwork as part of current/previous role.
  • Able to provide excellent customer service.
  • Experience of fleet management.
  • Good understanding of written & oral English.
  • Excellent communication skills on a 1-2-1 and team basis.
  • Able to motivate a team.
  • Can be relied upon.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of vehicle maintenance.
  • Able to route plan.
  • Approachable.

You must have held a UK manual driving licence for at least 2 years. All offers of employment are subject to a Driving Assessment, Driving Licence checks and basic DBS checks.

Desirable:

  • Working with the elderly/vulnerable.
  • Food Hygiene certificate.
