Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end procurement activity, from strategy development through to contract award.
- Deliver cost savings, value improvements and risk mitigation across your portfolio.
- Partner with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders to support business priorities.
- Manage key supplier relationships, driving performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor market trends (e.g. energy and travel) to inform sourcing decisions.
- Proven experience in a procurement role, ideally in service categories.
- Impactful and adaptable negotiator capable of influencing key business stakeholders and decision makers.
- Innovative thinker with ability to generate/deliver value-added procurement solutions that positively affect the performance of the business.
- Highly analytical with the ability to measure and provide meaningful information to the wider business.
- Effective and adaptable communicator.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Resilient and persistent.
- Act at pace and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisation skills – capable of initiating, prioritising and managing several projects simultaneously.
- Experience in procurement for utilities, HR services or business services.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) membership or additional relevant postgraduate qualification.
Some travel to UK suppliers and potentially to Europe or abroad, approximately 2 days per month.
