Due to a secondment arising in the team, we are seeking to appoint a financial accounts assistant on a 7‑month fixed‑term contract.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journals and support the month‑end close.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including inter‑company balances.
- Maintain the lease management database and fixed‑asset register.
- Assist with monthly VAT returns and statutory reporting obligations.
- Support audit processes by providing accurate documentation and responses.
- Provide analytical support for ad‑hoc queries and enquiries.
Essential Qualifications

- Strong planning and organisation ability, prioritising tasks and ensuring timely completion.

- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
- Previous experience of working within an office environment.
- Experience dealing with customers in written and verbal formats.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- High degree of accuracy.

- Business studies or finance qualification.
- AAT qualification (part or full).
- Previous finance role experience.
