The predicted salary is between 20000 - 28000 Β£ per year.
Our continued expansion means we need further people to join our stock team to support our warehouse operation. The Warehouse, where you will spend some of your time, runs at -22/25 degrees so you'll be provided all the PPE to keep you warm and safe in the freezer. You will be part of the team which tracks and manages the flow of stock to ensure products are always available to be picked by Warehouse Operative colleagues. The stock team count and check stock, investigating variances and finding solutions to issues. They do vital work to keep us compliant and ensure we have accurate records of stock to enable us to meet our customer's needs.
As well as experience in a warehouse, you'll need reasonable computer skills and a keen eye for detail - especially for numbers. Experience using SAP system would be an advantage. Our ultimate goal is to provide a service to our customer that exceeds expectations, supplying food to some of the most vulnerable people in our society, while at the same time continuously improving efficiencies. As an apetito employee you must always be willing to go above and beyond what is expected. There may be occasions when overtime is required and flexibility of start and finish times in line with business needs.
Carrying out stock counts within the Coldstore -22/25 degrees. Performing general stock checks and audits, ensuring that quality standards are followed. Stock variance investigation and processing adjustments. Carrying out date/temperature checks. Updating stock information on SAP. Ensuring information on the system is regularly updated and checked with regular cycle counts. Checking incoming goods. Organise and manage return of damages and returns. System and stock placement of mixed pallets and voice backs. Dealing with miscellaneous/problem stock. Liaising with the warehouse team - Team Leaders and Drivers to help achieve the departments stock routines and set KPIs. Supporting with general warehouse duties - including picking and loading. To work towards the achievement of recognised KPIs that are set to ensure that performance is regularly and consistently fulfilled. Following health and safety and food safety practices at all times in the processing of stock and complying with reporting procedures.
Essential
- Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment.
- Willingness to utilise/gain computer skills, in particular using SAP.
- High level of numeracy.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent standard of qualification in Maths and English at a grade C.
- Is able to demonstrate commitment and stability.
- Flexible, good attendance and timekeeping.
- Multi-skilled or willing to learn new skills.
- Can demonstrate attention to detail, quality and accuracy.
