Job Overview

This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, working 24 hours per week on any 3 out of 6 days, including bank holidays and Saturdays.

As a driver for Wiltshire Farm Foods, you will deliver frozen meals to our customers, bringing sunshine to their doors and providing exceptional service.

Work will be performed within a coldstore at –20 °C. Protective clothing will be supplied, and scheduled breaks for warming up and hot drinks will be provided.

Your role involves teamwork, physical activity, and supporting the office and picking teams as needed.

You will be paid £13.45 per hour plus bonuses and additional company benefits.

Wiltshire Farm Foods is the UK’s largest ready‑meal supplier, delivering over 330 frozen meals primarily to elderly, family members, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver frozen meals to customers in a timely manner
  • Pick orders within the coldstore
  • Use the company app to update customer deliveries
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times
  • Conduct pre‑shift inspection of your van
  • Drive safely, responsibly, and within the law
  • Clean and refuel your van as needed
  • Contact the office with any discrepancies or delays
  • Maintain customer confidentiality
  • Assist the office team and picking team when required
  • Report health and safety, stock quality, and mechanical issues
  • Assist absent or holiday team members
  • Carry out local marketing activities such as leaflet door drops and sheltered housing visits to attract new customers

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer‑service‑based role
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Basic computer literacy, including using phone apps
  • Evidence of work stability
  • Basic secondary education

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in a multi‑drop delivery role
  • Experience in a care‑based role

Additional Requirements

You must have held a UK manual driving licence for at least 2 years.

All offers of employment are subject to a driving assessment, driving licence checks, and basic DBS checks.

As this role involves working with elderly and vulnerable customers, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires a basic DBS disclosure.
