Customer Delivery Driver/Picker

This position works 32 hours per week, any four days in six, including bank holidays. The role involves delivering frozen meals from the chilled cold‑store to customers’ doors, providing friendly, reliable customer service, and supporting the office and picking teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver frozen meals to customers in a timely manner.
• Pickup orders within the coldstore.
• Use the company app to update delivery status.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
• Undertake pre‑shift inspection of your van.
• Drive safely, responsibly and within the law.
• Clean and refuel your van as and when needed.
• Contact the office with any discrepancies or delays.
• Ensure customer confidentiality.
• Assist the office and picking teams when required.
• Report health and safety, stock quality and mechanical issues.
• Help colleagues when a team member is absent or on holiday.
• Carry out local marketing activities such as leaflet door drops and sheltered housing visits to attract new customers.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience within a customer service‑based role.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence held for at least 2 years.
• Basic computer literacy including use of phone apps.
• Evidence of work stability.
• Basic secondary education.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience of multi‑drop delivery role.
• Experience within a care‑based role.
• Warehouse experience.
• Health & Safety awareness.

Personal Qualities

• Friendly, approachable and reliable.
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
• Good attendance and time‑keeping.

All offers of employment are subject to a driving assessment, driving licence checks and a basic DBS check. As this role involves working with elderly and vulnerable customers, it is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and requires a basic DBS Disclosure.
