Overview

The Low Risk Kitchen is keen to promote excellent teamwork by employing people with a positive attitude who are willing to learn various skills to work in different positions within the Prep Department. This approach helps produce quality products efficiently. We aim not only to meet but to exceed our targets.

This position involves working 36 hours per week, Saturday-Monday, on a weekend shift pattern.

£13.19 per hour + Bonus + Benefits

Responsibilities

  • Weigh ingredients for recipes.
  • Manage leftover stock using FIFO methodology.
  • Cook products following supplied recipes.
  • Clean pots between uses and coordinate with the High Care Ops team when pump stripping is required when switching between meat and vegetarian products or different species.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and legibly, fulfilling legal requirements.
  • Be flexible to work in other areas as needed.
  • Ensure finished products are correct on the first attempt; verify with the supervisor if unsure.
  • Report any quality concerns to the supervisor.
  • Achieve accurate yields to maintain product quality and prevent devaluations.
  • Taste test cooked products with a colleague before releasing to the High Care Kitchen for assembly.
  • Record consistency readings to ensure batch-to-batch uniformity.
