Coldstore Operative

Overview

Our customers are predominantly elderly and rely upon our office teams to take their orders over the phone or via the internet. The ultimate goal is to provide a service to our customers that exceeds expectations while at the same time continuously improving efficiencies.

The cold store operates at -20 degrees Celsius, but protective clothing and breaks to warm up and have a hot drink will be provided.

Reporting to the Driver Supervisor and Senior Freezer Operative, you will help pack customers\’ frozen orders for dispatch in a timely and accurate manner.

£12.60 per hour + bonus + company benefits.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer orders received later in the day are accurately picked and placed in the corresponding cage for the next morning.
• Maintain customer confidentiality.
• Pick orders with zero mistakes.
• Implement and improve efficiencies.
• Assist the office team as needed.
• Report health and safety, stock quality, and mechanical issues.

About you

Essential:

• Commitment and stability evidence.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Numerate and literate.
• Basic secondary education.
