About The Role

Are you an experienced senior leader ready to shape the future of maritime risk, navigation and shipping consultancy? We’re looking for a Divisional Director to lead NASH Maritime, part of APEM Group's Marine Science & Development sector. NASH Maritime are recognised across the sector for their expertise in maritime risk, navigational safety and shipping analysis - and this role offers the chance to steer a division with a clear mission: to support a safe, sustainable, accident‑free marine environment through better understanding and mitigation of maritime risks.

As a key member of the APEM Group leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, driving operational excellence, strengthening commercial performance and developing a high‑performing, collaborative culture across a specialist and growing team. You’ll provide the direction, structure and empowerment needed to ensure the division delivers exceptional work while remaining resilient, ambitious and aligned to APEM Group's wider vision. This is a role with real influence: shaping how our maritime services evolve, how our people grow, and how we continue to deliver world‑class consultancy across a high‑growth global business.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven ability to deliver high‑quality consultancy services to time, budget and a high scientific or technical standard
  • Strong understanding of the markets relevant to navigation, maritime risk or the wider marine environment
  • Experience across the full project delivery lifecycle, including commercial tendering and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A leadership style grounded in transparency, clear expectations, coaching and development
  • Demonstrated experience driving successful change through teams
  • Confidence in operational decision‑making and balancing commercial and delivery pressures

  • Postgraduate qualifications or professional membership
