Are you looking for a role where you can work closely with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making? Do you want to build your finance career in a growing international consultancy where you’ll be encouraged to study and become fully qualified?

It’s an exciting time to join APEM. As a leading environmental consultancy working with governments and global organisations, we deliver complex and meaningful projects that help protect the natural world. We’re looking for a Finance Analyst to join our UK & Ireland finance team, supporting one of the most exciting areas of the business - Marine. This part of APEM works on major projects including offshore wind consenting, marine navigation, and ports and harbour regeneration, playing a key role in supporting the UK’s transition to renewable energy and sustainable marine infrastructure.

You’ll work closely with Commercial Finance and operational leaders to produce meaningful financial reporting and analysis that helps drive performance. You’ll support month-end reporting, forecasting and financial planning while also helping identify opportunities and potential issues across the business.

We’re looking for someone with drive and initiative, someone who doesn’t just produce the numbers but actively looks for insights, spots trends and raises opportunities or risks with stakeholders. Just as importantly, we want someone who is motivated to develop their career, working towards a professional accounting qualification with study support provided.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • To be part-qualified (or looking to work towards) a professional accounting qualification
  • Knowledge of and some experience in financial analysis, management accounting or finance business partnering
  • Strong Excel and general IT skills
  • The ability to analyse financial data and communicate insights clearly
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to identify issues, raise opportunities and improve processes

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience working with senior stakeholders or presenting financial insight
  • Experience in a growing or changing business environment
  • An interest in sectors such as renewable energy, offshore wind, marine infrastructure or environmental consultancy
