Are you an experienced People Operations Supervisor/Manager who thrives on building efficient, well-governed HR services? Do you enjoy creating strong processes, improving systems, and using data to help organisations make better decisions? Following a promotion, we are looking for a People Operations Manager to lead our people operations team, supporting the UK & Ireland consulting business (approximately 650 employees). This role will oversee a small team responsible for HR administration and payroll, ensuring the smooth, compliant and efficient delivery of People services across the business.
This is a hands-on role where you will combine operational oversight with continuous improvement. You will play a key role in strengthening governance, improving People processes, and ensuring our systems and data support better decision-making across the organisation. You will work closely with the wider People Leadership Team to modernise how we deliver services, improving HRIS functionality, enhancing self-service tools, and ensuring that employees and managers have clear, reliable access to the information they need.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience leading a People Operations / HR Operations function
- A strong understanding of HR systems and HRIS platforms, with the ability to optimise workflows and processes
- To be a good all-rounder, with a broad HR knowledge, including employment law and operational governance.
- Experience of managing payroll end to end, with a solid understanding of payroll complexities, statutory compliance etc.
- A highly process-driven mindset with a focus on governance, compliance and operational excellence
- Experience managing and developing HR administration teams
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to collate and present HR data and insights
- A solid understanding of organisation design and workforce structures
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively across teams and functions
