Are you ready to step into a leadership role where you can shape reporting, strengthen processes, and influence business decisions? Do you want the autonomy to make a real impact within a growing international consultancy?
We’re looking for a Finance Manager – UK & Ireland. This is a key role within the UK&I leadership structure where you’ll work closely with the Finance Director and senior leaders to strengthen reporting, improve financial insight, and support strategic decision‑making. You’ll lead the UK&I management accounts process, refine reporting standards, and ensure that financial information is clear, accurate and trusted across the business. As the UK&I business continues to grow, you’ll help build the financial processes and discipline that support that growth.
You’ll also lead a small team, supporting their development while ensuring the smooth delivery of month‑end reporting, forecasting and financial analysis. While people leadership is important, this role would suit someone who is technically strong and ready to step into a management role, developing their leadership capability while remaining close to the detail.
In this role you’ll:
- Take full ownership of management accounting and reporting across the UK & Ireland entities
- Deliver high‑quality management account packs and financial analysis for senior leadership
- Lead and support the UK&I management accounting team
- Improve processes, strengthen controls and streamline month‑end reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, audits and statutory accounts
- Cashflow reporting
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to support financial performance
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong experience delivering management accounts and financial analysis
- Knowledge of balance sheet controls
- Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with tools such as Power BI
- The confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders and explain financial insight clearly
- A mindset focused on process improvement, quality and continuous improvement
At APEM, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud of our collaborative culture and our values of integrity, quality, people, forward thinking, positivity and fairness. As part of a growing global group, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape how the UK&I finance function evolves while building your own leadership track record.
Next steps: We are focused on creating a diverse and inclusive team. If you can’t tick every box on our job description, then we are still keen to hear from you and are open to supporting your development. That may be working part time or supporting you to gain experience in a specific area – we are a growing company and are able to adapt roles to reflect individual skills.
If you think you have what it takes to join our fast‑growing business, then please apply immediately on our website. All we need is some basic information and your CV; we will review all applications quickly and will respond to all applications.
