Are you an experienced insurance professional with a strong grasp of policy renewals, risk management and stakeholder liaison? Do you enjoy bringing clarity, structure, and confidence to fast-paced corporate environments? Are you looking for a short-term role with real impact?

We’re looking for an Insurance Manager to join APEM Group on a 6-month fixed-term contract, helping us manage our 2026 insurance renewal cycle. Working as part of a small but high-impact Legal & Corporate Compliance team, this role will suit someone with strong experience in insurance policy oversight and broker engagement—who is also confident dealing with day-to-day insurance queries across a diverse international business.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile process, liaise with external brokers and internal stakeholders, and ensure continuity, compliance and best practice across all areas of insurance at APEM.

You’ll lead the full insurance renewal process, working closely with our brokers and in-country teams to negotiate terms and gather the necessary documentation. You’ll respond to insurance-related queries from across the business, support our driver assurance programme, and manage notifications. You’ll also contribute to the insurance budget for 2026, maintain internal policies, and keep our intranet resources up to date. You’ll be supported by our Head of Legal and collaborate regularly with finance, operations and senior leaders.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience in insurance or risk management, ideally within a commercial or corporate setting
  • Confidence managing policy renewals and insurance documentation
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills
  • A collaborative, solution-focused mindset
  • Organisational confidence and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Comfort working across jurisdictions and with external partners

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, ideally starting in July, with remote-first flexibility. We’re open to candidates based in the UK or Ireland.

At APEM, we bring together integrity, expertise and forward-thinking to support vital environmental projects across the UK and internationally. You’ll be joining a team that values quality, autonomy, and working together to get things done right.

You will be offered the chance to work on a variety of projects, many of our employees have worked on projects that have been of personal interest to them. We match this with a commitment to continuous development and learning to support your career. We also offer benefits to look after you, from private medical insurance for all employees, access to mental health first aiders and comprehensive income protection if you cannot work. We also offer superb flexible working options, balancing work with your life.

Next steps

We are focused on creating a diverse and inclusive team. If you can’t tick every box on our job description, then we are still keen to hear from you and are open to supporting your development. That may be working part time or supporting you to gain experience in a specific area – we are a growing company and are able to adapt roles to reflect individual skills.

If you think you have what it takes to join our fast-growing business, then please apply immediately on our website. All we need some basic information and your CV, we will review all applications quickly and will respond to all applications.
