As we continue to grow, we are now seeking a skilled Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our high-performing team. This role is ideal for experienced professionals seeking autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to deliver quality-driven work while contributing to projects that protect public health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
This is a dual-role position, encompassing both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a diverse client portfolio:
- Surveying Responsibilities:
- Undertake management, refurbishment, demolition, and re-inspection asbestos surveys
- Accurately collect and document bulk samples in accordance with HSG264
- Prepare, review and validate survey reports to industry standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and liaise with clients in a professional, timely manner
- Support internal audits and occasional re-surveys as required
- Conduct 4-stage clearance testing, background, reassurance, smoke, leak, and personal air monitoring
- Supervise licensed asbestos removal contractors to ensure HSE compliance
- Generate precise and clear analytical reports in accordance with HSG248
- Participate in internal QA processes and external proficiency schemes
- Engage in an agreed weekend rota (approx. 1 in 6) with enhanced overtime rates
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Weβre seeking a knowledgeable, credible, and quality-focused professional who thrives in both field and client-facing work.
Essential:
- BOHS P402, P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in combined asbestos surveying and air monitoring
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and work independently
- Strong understanding of UKAS and HSE guidelines
Desired:
- Experience using TEAMS asbestos software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience supervising on-site licensed removal operations
