Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys working independently and solving practical problems out in the field? Do you have experience maintaining technical equipment and want a role where no two days look the same? We're looking for a Mobile Maintenance Technician to join our team, keeping ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) camera systems and related equipment running across multiple car park sites throughout Surrey and the Home Counties. You'll manage your own daily schedule, travel between sites, and be the person our clients rely on to keep things working.
The role
- As a Mobile Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fault response across your patch.
- You'll work closely with our IT and management teams, keep accurate records of all visits and incidents, and represent the company professionally at every site you attend.
- A company vehicle is provided. Some weekend working may be required on occasion.
What you'll do
- Maintain and repair ANPR cameras and related IT and parking equipment across multiple sites.
- Plan, prepare, and prioritise your daily site visits, balancing reactive call-outs with scheduled PPM work.
- Investigate and diagnose ANPR and IT faults, including data connections and power supply checks.
- Carry out visual inspections of wiring and report any defects to the IT team for further action.
- Complete and file all relevant Health & Safety documentation, including RAMs and PTWs.
- Accurately log all incidents and follow-up actions in the incident management system.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks via SMART CHECK and keep your vehicle clean and presentable.
- Deliver equipment to sites and assist with related operational tasks as required.
- Liaise professionally with suppliers, contractors, and the internal management team.
What you'll bring
- Experience in a similar field-based maintenance role, ideally within CCTV, ANPR, electrical, or a related technical environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own schedule and prioritise effectively.
- Good attention to detail and a methodical, safety-conscious approach to all work.
- Confident communicator at all levels, with a professional and approachable manner.
- Comfortable with MS Office and digital reporting tools.
- Smart appearance and the ability to represent the company well at client sites.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
It would also be great if you have:
- An IPAF licence, IOSH Working Safely certification, or a Blue CSCS card.
- First Aid or Fire Warden qualifications.
- Experience operating a trailer and scissor lift (tachograph training will be provided if needed).
