We’re looking for 2 Base Supervisors to lead and support our team of Civil Enforcement Officers delivering parking enforcement services, one at our High Wycombe base and the other at Aylesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in keeping the borough moving safely and efficiently while developing and supporting a high-performing team.
The Role
As Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Civil Enforcement team, ensuring contractual obligations, operational standards, and performance targets are consistently achieved. You’ll act as the key link between frontline officers, management, and the client—helping ensure smooth service delivery while promoting best practice and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a contract-based team of Civil Enforcement Officers.
- Oversee daily operations across the enforcement contract.
- Ensure operational and contractual requirements are consistently met.
- Monitor performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyse performance data and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Manage team performance, including appraisals, training, and disciplinary investigations.
- Conduct fleet checks to ensure vehicles are safe, compliant, and suitable for operational use.
- Verify driver check sheets and operational documentation.
- Ensure reports, statements, and incident paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety for yourself and the wider team.
- Ensure activities align with company policy, contract specifications, and client expectations.
About You
You’re a confident leader who enjoys supporting teams, improving performance, and delivering excellent service. You will ideally have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Experience in a customer-facing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
Experience in parking enforcement, local authority services, or regulated operational environments would be highly beneficial. Occasional travel within Buckinghamshire, candidates with Driving Licence preferred.
