The Opportunity
- Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll be a central figure in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to senior leadership and the Board.
- This role blends technical accounting with commercial business partnering so ideal for someone who enjoys both precision and influence.
- You’ll take ownership across a broad and engaging remit, including:
Financial Reporting & Control
- Deliver high-quality monthly group reporting and management accounts
- Support statutory accounts preparation in line with IFRS and group policies
- Lead on IFRS16 lease accounting and ROU asset management
- Drive balance sheet integrity and robust control processes
- Partner with auditors to ensure smooth, efficient audits
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and Board-level reporting
Commercial Business Partnering
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams to drive performance
- Deliver insightful P&L reporting by contract, project, and department
- Lead financial reviews with stakeholders and clients
- Support bids, tenders, and strategic decision-making with robust analysis
- Ensure revenue recognition, cost control, and project profitability
Systems & Transformation
- Play a key role in finance system optimisation and ERP implementation
- Own finance system administration and drive process improvements
- Leverage tools such as Navision, TM1 Cognos, and CCH Tagetik
What We're Looking For
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- 2-3 years experience in management accounting or similar
- Strong Excel and systems skills with a proactive mindset
- Confident communicator able to influence non-finance stakeholders
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and commercially aware
