Salary: Up to 40k per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Temporary 6 months with the potential to become permanent
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, including some evenings and weekends (1 in 3 weekends)

Were looking for a Temporary Neighbourhood Manager to join our team in Lambeth, providing leadership and operational support during a period of secondment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and motivated manager to make a real difference to the communities we serve. Youll work with the management team to ensure the effective delivery of our services, support our people and build positive relationships with key local stakeholders.

What will you do?
As a Temporary Neighbourhood Manager, youll take a hands-on approach to operational leadership, assisting the delivery of a high-quality service across the Lambeth area. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead service delivery and ensure operational performance, service standards and contractual requirements are consistently achieved.
  • Manage and motivate a team of Supervisors and Enforcement Officers, providing clear direction, coaching and support to drive performance.
  • Build strong working relationships with local stakeholders such as with Residents Associations, Councillors, Police, Business Owners, etc.
  • Monitor KPIs, resources and performance data, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Support the effective management of budgets, payroll and staffing resources to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the contract.
  • Ensure the effective deployment of staff and maintain high standards across the service, helping to create safe, clean and well-managed public spaces.
  • Take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to operational tasks, responding effectively to issues as they arise.

What will you bring?
Were looking for an experienced people manager who is confident working in a busy operational environment and enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders. Youll ideally have:

  • At least 3 years experience of managing and developing diverse teams.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with responsibility for service delivery and performance.
  • Strong understanding of budgets, resources, KPIs and operational performance.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical approach and able to use data to identify trends, manage performance and support decision-making.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience using systems to collect, analyse and report information.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to make sound decisions in a changing environment.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence is required for this role.
