- Position: School Crossing Patrol Officer (Lollipop person)
- Type: Part-Time
- Salary: £12.21 per hour or £6349.20 per annum
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 10 hours a week (2 hours per day before and after school, between 08:00 to 09:00 and 15:00 – 16:00; term time only)
This role is based outside Hayes Primary School helping the students and their families get to and from school safely.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the safety of families crossing the road at an assigned point on their journey to and from school.
- Operating hazard warning signs as appropriate.
- Controlling and directing traffic as appropriate.
- Maintaining control over families who are awaiting instructions to cross.
- Using all uniform and equipment provided for personal safety and for the safety of families and other road users.
- Frequently assessing the risks that come with the crossing site to detect any problems.
- Reporting problems and defects to the manager.
