Environmental Enforcement Officer – Hillingdon - Full-Time - 40 hours per week - £23,795.20 per annum

Requirements:
- Over 18 years old and holding a full clean Driving Licence.
Responsibilities include:
- Patrolling on foot to enforce bylaws within Hillingdon, conducting inquiries, and taking action as needed.
- Responding to inquiries and complaints from councillors and the public regarding environmental quality and anti-social behaviour.
- Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices for violations where appropriate.
- Recording witness statements and conducting interviews under caution.
- Validating offender details.
- Preparing cases for prosecution and working with legal services, including court appearances as a witness.
- Maintaining accurate records of work and case progression using computer software.
- Building good relationships with key service areas and agencies, including the Police.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Enforcement work experience.
- Experience in awareness raising or marketing.
- Knowledge of environmental services such as waste collection and cleansing.
- Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Reliability, self-motivation, and ability to handle challenging situations.
- Ability to develop and follow policies and procedures.
- Problem-solving skills for complaints and complex issues.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and cover for colleagues.
- Understanding of Health and Safety and data protection protocols.
