We’re looking for an IT Application Support Analyst to join our established IT team based in Uxbridge, working in a hybrid model. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting and maintaining the applications our business relies on every day.
You’ll provide high-quality, customer-focused support, acting quickly and efficiently to resolve application and system issues. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with internal users and third-party suppliers to ensure application services remain stable, reliable, and fit for purpose.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide first and second line application support for business-critical systems, ensuring high availability and minimal disruption.
- Configure, support, and maintain applications in line with business and operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot application, system, and data-related issues, performing root cause analysis where appropriate.
- Analyse application inputs, outputs, and data flows to ensure accuracy and continuity of business operations.
- Monitor application performance and business processes, responding to alerts and proactively identifying issues.
- Log, track, and manage incidents, service requests, and problems through the service management system.
- Escalate and coordinate issues with third-party vendors and suppliers, managing incidents through to resolution.
- Support bespoke SQL-based applications, including basic query validation and data checks.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in an IT Application Support, Systems Support, or similar role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose application and system issues.
- Experience providing first and second line support in a business-critical environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft-based environments (Windows OS, Office 365, Active Directory).
- Experience supporting database-driven applications (basic SQL querying or data validation).
- Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes.
- A process-driven mindset with experience working to SLAs and KPIs.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to translate technical issues for non-technical users.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving systems and processes.
