Role: Taxi Rank Agent at Heathrow Airport. The shift pattern is 4 on, 4 off working days and nights.

As a Taxi Rank Agent, you will ensure the smooth running of the Heathrow Taxi Ranks and contribute to a passionate and friendly team working in a fast-paced setting. Key duties:
  • Responsibility for the processing of passengers and establishing destinations.
  • Knowledge of Abstract of Laws and Heathrow Airport Bylaws (full training will be given).
  • Learning fully the destinations and issuing Local Journey Tickets, Fares Fair Zones A, B & C (full training will be given).
  • Using the Handheld Unit to confirm taxis should be on the ranks and correctly record LJ/FFS during peak demand.
  • Liaise with Taxi Feeder Park via radio to confirm driver validity on ranks.
  • Ensuring that there are sufficient taxis to always meet passenger demand.
  • Dealing with passengers with oversize luggage requirements.
  • Answering passenger and driver queries successfully despite language barriers.
  • Responsibility for Badge and Licence checks on the rank.
  • Reporting unattended packages/parcels.
  • Completing any mandatory company training as required.
  • Carrying out any reasonable request given to you by APCOA Management.
What you will bring to the role:
  • Ability to work outdoors.
  • Flexibility to work in all areas of Heathrow across the business.
  • A willingness to work overtime should the need arise.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Ability to use a two-way radio (Training will be given).
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and also independently.
  • Knowledge of Heathrow Airport plus local area would be an advantage.
  • Greater London boundaries knowledge required (full training will be given).
  • Driving licence is preferable but not necessary.
