Operations Support Manager

Location: Redbridge

Salary: £32,859.72 per annum

Hours: 40 hrs per week 5 days over 7

We’re looking for an Operations Support Manager to play a central role in supporting the delivery of our parking operations across Barnet. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that focuses on driving operational excellence, improving performance, and helping our frontline teams succeed in creating safer, better-managed neighbourhoods.

As the Operations Support Manager, you’ll be a key link between on-street operations, office functions, and contract management. You’ll support the smooth running of enforcement, notice processing, compliance, and performance reporting, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and compliance. This is your chance to make a real impact on how local government services are delivered.

What makes this role stand out?

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with operational managers and clients, using data, insight, and practical experience to support service delivery and drive positive change. From improving processes and responding to new challenges, you’ll be trusted to support the long-term success of our operations and people.

We’re looking for a confident, organised, and proactive leader who understands that effective operations rely on strong support and clear communication. You’ll support a resilient operation, dedicated on-street staff, and ensure our services are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and professionally.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Assistant Contract Manager to deliver a high-quality, compliant service
  • Leading, motivating and developing a team of Senior Civil enforcement officers and on street CEOs.
  • Deputising for the Assistant Contract Manager when required
  • Ensuring KPIs, service levels and quality standards are consistently achieved
  • Managing staff performance, absence and employee relations
  • Working closely with residents, local businesses, councillors and the Metropolitan Police
  • Helping create safer neighbourhoods and thriving local business districts
  • Ensuring health & safety and quality standards are met at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Recent management experience (Team Manager level or similar)
  • Experience managing supervisors or equivalent roles
  • Strong people-management and communication skills
  • Confident handling performance management and disciplinary processes
  • Proven experience monitoring KPIs
  • Commercially aware and comfortable analysing data
  • Good IT skills (MS Office)
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
