The Role

Environmental Enforcement Officer – Hounslow – £13 per hour / £27,040 per annum

FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED

Environmental Enforcement Officers enforce local laws to protect the area from litter, dog fouling, and other breaches. You will issue tickets and notices to offenders.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce laws, make inquiries, and pursue actions where appropriate.
  • Investigate reports of littering, fly tipping, dog fouling, and similar offences.
  • Issue Fixed Penalty Notices for offences.
  • Prepare cases for court and assist legal proceedings.
  • Record witness statements and conduct interviews under caution.
  • Verify offender details.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including the Police.

Candidate requirements:

  • Enforcement or security experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of waste management and environmental services is desirable.
  • Ability to engage with diverse audiences and work in a team.
  • Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
  • Full clean driving licence.
