The Role: School Crossing Patrol Officer (Lollipop Person) - Oak Lodge Primary School
Part-time – £12.71 per hour. You need to live very locally. Monday to Friday – 10 hours a week. 2 hours per day before and after school (between 08:00‑09:00 and 15:00‑16:00; term time only). Salary is split across 12 months, so you continue being paid during school holidays.
This role is based outside Oak Lodge Primary School, helping the students and their families get to and from school safely.

What will you do?
- Ensure the safety of families crossing the road at an assigned point on their journey to and from school.
- Operate hazard warning signs as appropriate.
- Control and direct traffic as appropriate.
- Maintain control over families who are awaiting instructions to cross.
- Use all uniform and equipment provided for personal safety and for the safety of families and other road users.
- Frequently assess the risks that come with the crossing site to detect any problems.
- Report problems and defects to manager.
