The Role
Central Terminal Area Officer – Luton Airport – Full time – 4 on 4 off shift pattern – Earlies and Lates – £13.39 Per Hour

Central Terminal Area (CTA) Officers are a vital part of our team based at Luton Airport, Their main aim and objective is to report and monitor all activities that take place at the CTA, ensuring that the safety and customer service needs of all users are met.
These are 10 hour shifts 04:00 -14:00 and 14:00 – 23:59, 4 on 4 off, 2 earlies 2 lates
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake daily health and safety inspections of the site, ensuring that CTA is always fit for purpose and safe. Report any concerns or defects are reported to the Operations Manager for immediate attention.
- Assist in the operation of the CTA to ensure the smooth flow of buses through the CTA including adhoc coaches and where incorrect use of allocated bays takes place report this to LLA.
- Ensure that when the traffic light system or gates are faulty, these faults are reported to LLA for resolution.
- Ensure Passenger queueing areas are managed by the individual operators both at the CTA and within the Onward Travel Centre.
- Day to day liaison with Bus Drivers and operators to ensure smooth operation of the bus CTA and bus service reliability.
- Assist the CTA to monitor that contractor activity is undertaken to specified standards and report on any areas of concern.
- Proactively provide passenger information upon request and deliver a high standard of passenger service.
- Ensure Digital Display Boards are showing the correct information and are in full working order.
- Endeavour to provide a high profile, visible presence to maintain operator and passenger confidence.
- Assist with enquiries and complaints in connection with the operation of CTA.
- Ensure information on public transport is on display and to agreed standards at the bus stands and inside the terminal at the onward travel centre.
- Manage the adhoc coach process to ensure the system of call forward is working effectively so as not to impact the operation of the CTA.
