The Role

Join Our Team as an ANPR Electrical Supervisor
Location: Surrey and Home Counties
Salary: £40,000 – £42,500 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (occasional weekends may be required)

Are you an experienced electrician ready to step into a leadership role with a growing company? APCOA is looking for a motivated ANPR Electrical Supervisor to lead and support our team of remote maintenance engineers, ensuring the smooth planning, installation, and upkeep of cutting-edge Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems across the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate maintenance and repairs of ANPR cameras and car parking equipment.
  • Plan and prioritise daily operations, allocating resources where they’re needed most.
  • Uphold the highest standards of health & safety — from RAMS and PTWs to regular vehicle and equipment checks.
  • Support your team’s training and development, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Investigate faults, manage equipment delivery, and oversee safe driving practices.
  • Liaise with suppliers, identify cost-saving opportunities, and build strong working relationships.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and handle supplier/contractor queries professionally.
  • Keep up to date with best practices, industry changes, and share knowledge across teams.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fully qualified electrician (NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Significant experience with electrical installations, ideally with ANPR or CCTV systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record managing remote teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and people management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Smart, professional, self-motivated, and flexible in approach.

Desirable (But Not Essential):

  • 2391 Testing qualification, IOSH Managing Safely.
  • First Aid or Fire Warden qualifications.
  • IPAF license, CSCS card, or similar industry-specific certifications.
