Job Summary:

To maintain a safe and timely traffic flow of vehicles in and out of the site while ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Night Transport Operations Manager

Performance Standards:

You are expected to complete your duties professionally and to a high standard.

Skills/Requirements:

• A good working knowledge of health and safety
• Banksman trained (advantageous)
• Previous parcel industry experience (advantageous)
• Counterbalance forklift truck license (advantageous)

Main Responsibilities:

• Monitor traffic flow around the site to ensure continuous movement and minimal congestion
• Liaise with drivers and assist with issues as required
• Assist with reversing trailers and vehicles onto doors
• Open and close curtains and internal straps on trailers
• Ensure safety of operatives when assessing and maneuvering vehicles onto bay doors
• May need to cover shifts and operate the traffic light system as trained
• Perform any other duties as required
