To maintain a safe and timely traffic flow of vehicles in and out of the site while ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Night Transport Operations Manager
Performance Standards:
You are expected to complete your duties professionally and to a high standard.
Skills/Requirements:
- A good working knowledge of health and safety
- Banksman trained (advantageous)
- Previous parcel industry experience (advantageous)
- Counterbalance forklift truck license (advantageous)
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitor traffic flow around the site to ensure continuous movement and minimal congestion
- Liaise with drivers and assist with issues as required
- Assist with reversing trailers and vehicles onto doors
- Open and close curtains and internal straps on trailers
- Ensure safety of operatives when assessing and maneuvering vehicles onto bay doors
- May need to cover shifts and operate the traffic light system as trained
- Perform any other duties as required
