Location: The role will be based at National Sortation Centre in Cannock.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Transport Compliance Auditor to conduct regular audits and compliance checks within our fast-paced transport and logistics operation.
Responsible to: Head of Transport & Fleet Manager
Skills/Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven experience in an auditing role within distribution and warehousing environments.
- Strong understanding of DVSA Operator Licence procedures.
- Proficient in fleet and tachograph management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing audit plans.
- Highly self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable to change.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail, maintaining accuracy in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform internal Transport Compliance audits
- Identify and communicate audit findings and provide recommendations
- Provide direction and coaching to all team members in the completion of internal audits to improve compliance
- Provide analytical feedback of audit results, identify common trends and target areas for improvement
- Perform vehicle spot checks with drivers, ensuring best practice standards are adhered to
- Ensure compliance with transport laws, safety standards, and company policies
